“It’s not just the building, but the whole system – trying to find symbiotic relationships between people, buildings, and our planet is where I see architecture as most valuable.”

Suraj Reddy initially had an interest in engineering, but always had a creative side. On the weekends you can find him watercoloring or working with his 3D printer. With architecture, Suraj considers himself in a unique position to influence how the built environment interacts with nature.

A recent graduate of Cal Poly, Suraj developed inspiration for his work far and wide. Studying in Tokyo was a highlight – simply wandering the streets was an incredible learning experience. “In Tokyo, nothing is the same block to block.” Combine that with his hard-core volleyball team of architecture students, and he came out pretty well-rounded.

One thing you should know is that Suraj is a die-hard Nintendo fan. Not video games: Nintendo. If you ask him about it, strap in and get ready for a complete history lesson – Suraj knows his stuff.

Suraj is a balanced guy. Buildings and nature. Architecture and engineering. Nintendo and watercolors. We’re glad he ended up at Noll & Tam.
