“We embrace the locality. That’s what a civic building should be.”

Trina Goodwin is a double-threat, trained as both architect and interior designer. If she’s on your project, you will be seeing a lot of her. As her portfolio can attest, this is a very good thing.

She enjoys approaching a project from the inside out, fully appreciating how the space is being used and then pushing that understanding outwards to discover how it might look. Trina acknowledges that this method is contrary to what others on the team may be accustomed to. In that context, her viewpoint brings added perspective that results in a well-considered overall design solution.

Trina abhors “cookie cutter” designs. She says all communities see themselves as unique. They are set apart not just by surface things like weather and location. Their personalities and concerns are very different. She designs for the differences to celebrate community.
