This urban school campus in Oakland’s Fruitvale District has been transformed, adding a new two-story classroom building which overlooks a redesigned playground and field. The relocation of modular buildings allows for new dedicated space for the school’s Early Childhood Education program. Designed to reflect and enhance the existing campus character, the building features interactive outdoor hallways, vibrant elevator tower murals, and expressive wall friezes—fostering a strong sense of community and reinforcing the message that “All Are Welcome Here.” Noll & Tam is delivering the project through a design-build partnership with Overaa Construction and BASE Landscape Architecture.
