Jane Gray Research Greenhouse

A carefully controlled environment for research and learning

One of a series of projects completed by Noll & Tam at the UC Botanical Garden, the Jane Gray Research Greenhouse was designed with an additional “Header House” building. Six 600-square-foot greenhouse compartments have individual controls to create and maintain different environmental conditions through the manipulation of temperature, humidity and light levels. In addition, each compartment is able to deliver varied watering and fertilization regimes simultaneously, to accommodate numerous experiments taking place throughout the year
