“Are we creating healthy buildings? Will the buildings bring out the best in people? Will people experience joy in what we are designing?”

Ursula may be designing your building, but she isn’t going to stop there. She approaches life with a holistic view.

She experiences architecture as an expansive profession: from figuring out how to capture someone’s vision through design, to considering how people may feel in the spaces, to understanding the construction industry and being delighted to see buildings undertake a life of their own.

Ursula’s considerations and interests in architecture are ever-expanding. She says, “The story of our experience is so much bigger than a building.” Ursula likes to go deep.

One of her fascinations is water. She has managed and designed award-winning aquariums where the building skin evokes the sense of water. She is constantly conscious of the water politics in California. Ursula recently returned from a two-year sabbatical working in regions of Malawi that have been devastated by both drought and flooding. Her interest in water covers everything from geology to philosophy to biology to agriculture.

If you are ready to consider the wider perspective, you are ready to talk to Ursula!
