Tang Center Renovation

Helping UC Berkeley’s Health Center provide better care

The Tang Center houses UC Berkeley’s University Health Services, which serves the entire campus population – students, faculty and staff. Noll & Tam renovated space on the second floor to accommodate off-site staff in three new clinic team rooms, reconfigure and expand the Primary Care clinic, and relocate various functions from elsewhere in the building. A new HVAC system and LED lighting reduces energy consumption and meets Title 24. The sequencing of construction was carefully planned to allow for continuous operation of the outpatient healthcare facilities and maintain a healthy environment during construction.
