Morgan Hill Indoor Recreation Center Morgan Hill, CA In collaboration with Ratcliff and Chuck Davis of EHDD, Noll & Tam Architects is designing the new 50,000 sf. Morgan Hill Recreation Center. This facility will combine athletic programs including an indoor water park, gymnasium, aerobics room, and a fitness training room with community functions including a senior center, youth center, day care, computer lab, and a multi-purpose room with a full kitchen. The pool serves as the focal point of the design, featuring a 90 foot long, 32 foot tall glass curtain wall facing the street. Situated adjacent to a community park, the design team addressed site planning issues such as access links to planned bicycle and walking trails and creek naturalization. The site will also include various outdoor patios, a skate park, and an entry courtyard garden. This ambitious design will utilize the heat gain in the winter months to passively warm the space, providing considerable life time cost savings for the City. < Previous ProjectNext Project >
