Fremont Family Resource Center
City of Fremont Office of Housing Services Fremont, California

Noll & Tam Architects planned, programmed and designed the new Fremont Family Resource Center for the City of Fremont. The 55,000-square-foot center houses 19 individual government agencies and non-profit social service providers in two separate buildings, providing a new model for coordinated-assistance facilities that is welcoming and supportive. Programming for the new facility involved interviews with each of the 19 agencies and providers, facilitated discussions on the users' mutual needs and shared resources, and consensus-building meetings with the City and user groups. Our design for the new facility created a cohesive, collaborative environment that also allows for the individuality of each tenant.
