Alameda County Water District Headquarters Expansion Master Plan
Fremont, California
Prior to the start of their ambitious capital improvement program, the Alameda County Water District commissioned Noll & Tam Architects to conduct a needs assessment and building evaluation of their 47,500-square-foot headquarters facility. Noll & Tam conducted extensive interviews with District staff, documented projected staffing to the year 2026, and determined the space needs to accommodate the District's future growth. Working collaboratively with District staff, we produced several alternative concept designs which were compared for costs and evaluated.
The Alameda County Water District has since retained Noll & Tam to work with them to prepare architectural designs for the selected scheme, and as part of that work we are currently looking at ADA compliance, an upgraded public lobby, expanded administration and staff facilities, and new Essential Operations Center (EOC) office and support space.
