Weekes Branch Library Hayward, CA Noll & Tam Architects designed the renovation of the existing 4,500-square-foot Weekes Branch Library in south Hayward, as well as a 4,000-square-foot addition. Weekes is the most popular branch library in Hayward, and we developed a program that supports its emphasis on service to young people in the area and the need for improved technology. The renovation project doubled the space available for both the children's and adult collections, added a new young-adult area, fully updated the library's computer capabilities, and expanded the existing staff work area. The addition included a 120-person meeting room designed to facilitate community outreach programs and an adjacent 1,000-square-foot outdoor Performance Patio, which can support larger events and gatherings. < Previous ProjectNext Project >
