Seaside Community Public Library
Noll & Tam Architects produced the master plan for the City of Seaside's Community Services Center and Library, and is currently designing this new 20,000-square-foot branch of the Monterey County Library. The building features two beautiful reading rooms, an octagonal tower in the children's area, and a grand fireplace anchoring the Periodicals Room. The children's area and Periodicals Room take advantage of views to the outdoor spaces and the Monterey Peninsula. Special community amenities such as separate areas for meeting and educational outreach programs and a cafe/store enrich the program. The cottage-style building responds to the character of Seaside and its busy Broadway Avenue location, while providing opportunities for quiet outdoor experiences in a landscape decorated with delightful marine motifs.
