Rohnert Park Library
Rohnert Park, CA

The City of Rohnert Park built a new City Center that includes a new community library and City Hall. Noll & Tam Architects designed the 24,000-square-foot library, which anchors a highly visible corner, sharing a site with the Public Safety Building and City Hall. Our commitment to the design was strengthened by an extensive community collaborative process that helped in conceiving and developing the comfortable, functional spaces. The Main Reading Room benefits from the natural light of a diffusing skylight, which runs the length of the truss-framed ceiling. The Children's Reading Room is scaled to the library's smallest patrons and features a conical mural topped by a skylight. Both rooms look out on a bosque of seasonally flowering trees.
