Cherryland Community Center

A special place for community gatherings and events

This new community center is in the unincorporated community of Cherryland, a historically underserved area sandwiched between San Lorenzo, Castro Valley and Hayward. Working with MIG, Noll & Tam facilitated multiple community workshops and steering committee meetings to develop a wish list and priorities that include a large multi-purpose room, a catering kitchen, a small library, preschool area and classrooms. The design complements the nearby Meek Estate, a historic mansion previously surrounded by orchards.

LEED GOLD CERTIFIED

“I think it’s safe to say this will be one of the most beautiful centers in our district, if not in the area.”
