After deployments at the Palo Alto Art Center, City Hall and Library, the MakeX teen makerspace has found a permanent home at the Cubberley Community Center, where it hosted more than 1,500 visits in 2016. A joint venture of the Palo Alto Library and Art Center, MakeX is student-run, allowing teens to shape their own space, according to what the teens want to create. Noll & Tam’s team worked closely with the teen group on the makerspace, discussing the possibilities of what it could include and helping the teens execute their vision.
